4-1-2019 Moab week long trip

Description: ----- Forwarded Message ----- From: Paul Cunningham To: MIKE ZAMAN Cc: Gary Thompson Sent: ‎Monday‎, ‎December‎ ‎10‎, ‎2018‎ ‎10‎:‎42‎:‎04‎ ‎AM‎ ‎PST Subject: April Club Run - Moab This is to clarify the information on the club run to Moab UT for the week of April 1st. As discussed in the meeting we will be in Moab for the week and will have runs planned Monday April 1st thru Friday the 5th with an optional run or play day for Saturday the 6th. If you choose you can leave early. Gary & I will arrive on Sunday March 31st and depart on Sunday April 7th. The runs we have planned will range from easy to difficult with a sprinkling of moderate ones as well. We won't take you on "metal bender" or other Jeep killer trails. You will be able to negotiate any of the runs we take you on and on most difficult sections there are bypasses. All of the runs are incredibly scenic so be sure to bring your camera. Some of the runs will be in Canyonlands National Park. As a note two national parks are right there: Canyonlands and Arches and Dead Horse Point state park, where Thelma & Louise "drove off the cliff" (in the movie). There are many good motels & hotels in town for you to choose from and lots of RV parks as well. Gary Thompson & I, your trail guides, are planning to stay at the OK RV park at the south end of town. Their weekly rates are one of the lowest in town and the park is decent. After the first of the year we'll get more info on places to stay. There are also some BLM primitive camp grounds in the area. There are numerous restaurants in town that are really good to satisfy your hunger. Please let us know if you are planning to make this trip as we would like to have an idea of how many people are interested.
